Chris Wheeler, the Daily Mail’s Manchester United side reporter, leads the way as the Mail launches a special Manchester United team column every Tuesday, a treat only available to United.
Unity has been United’s mantra as the season gets off to a bumpy start, and Eric Ten Hagar organized a barbecue for the families of his players and staff at Carrington on Sunday.
The entire United squad attended the event, which was welcomed by the players after an equally popular all-club event at Old Trafford last month.
The families enjoyed what was described as a healthy barbecue, with a number of activities planned for the children, including a bouncy castle, face painting and entertainment.
Ten Hag wanted to recognize the effort put in by the club’s staff support network as well as the players, and is said to have made his way around the room chatting with family members.
In addition, it is said that the event was planned weeks ago and the morale boosting win at Burnley on Saturday night meant that it went well.
